Founder of The Law Firm of Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson, Sperando

American attorney Willie Gary gained his fame and fortune the hard way. The former migrant worker from Georgia is now a multi-millionaire attorney and one of the most in-demand motivational speakers in the nation.

To America’s black and migrant community, Willie Gary stands as a shining example of the American dream. In May 2002, he was named as one of the “100 Most Influential Black Americans” by Ebony magazine. As a member of Forbes Magazine’s “Top 50 Attorneys in the U.S.”, Willie Gary derives his reputation for securing some of the biggest jury awards and settlements to date, winning over 150 cases at more than $1 million settlement per case.

Willie Gary is best known for representing the interest of the small people involved in suits against major corporations such as Disneyland and Anheuser-Busch.

His arduous climb to the top has been due to his dedicated work ethic and a single-minded aim of success. He put himself to college in Raleigh, North Carolina’s Shaw University through an athletic scholarship and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration before graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1974 from North Carolina Central University.

Upon his admission to the Florida bar, he put up his own private practice with the help of his wife Gloria. Since then, the small firm has grown into Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson & Sperando, P.L., a national partnership made up of 37 attorneys, a paralegal team, and a professional 120-man staff.

Willie Gary’s commitments extend beyond the legal practice. As a businessman, he owns the Atlanta-based Black Family Channel, a 24-hour cable channel that provides wholesome family-oriented programming.

As a philanthropist, Willie Gary has endeavored in charity work. Together with his wife, he established The Gary Foundation in 1994 and has helped young people from poor communities achieve a higher education. In 1991, Gary gave $10.1 million as a gift to Shaw University.
